New SSD Series from Buffalo
Buffalo launches a new series of SSDs with an Indilinx controller under the hood. The new series is called SHD-NSU2 and the units have a 2.5-inch form factor. The Indilinx Barefoot chipset promises good performance.
The units are equipped with 64MB cache and are capable of read speeds of up to 175 MB/s. The specifications also reveal support for the TRIM command and connectivity through 3.0 Gbps SATA or USB 2.0.
The Buffalo SHD-NSU2 series units ship with Acronis True Image HD and go on sale in mid-April. Models in sizes 32, 64, 128 and 256GB will be available with prices starting at around $150.
