New SSDs from Mach Xtreme
Mach Xtreme – yet another computer RAM manufacturer to go into solid state storage – is now launching a number of new SSDs with the JMF616 controller from JMicron under the hood. The fastest units have been dubbed Jet Mx Pro and are all equipped with NAND flash of the MLC variety. As usual, the form factor is 2.5 inches form factor and the drives are equipped with 128 MB of internal cache.

As you can see, the drives are also pretty funky-looking for some reason. Anyway, the claimed transfer rates on these drives are 270 MB/s read and 210 MB/s write, which sounds impressive. The units have a MTBF value of 1.5 million hours and connects to your PC via SATA 2.
The capacities are 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB–all of them with a two year warranty. Price tags and availability are still unsolved mysteries.
